Scars can cause permanent scarring on your body and skin. Scarring from injuries, surgeries, burns, and insect bites can leave it difficult to manage to scar. Many people desire to remove old scars, even though they are not harmful.
Although scars don’t disappear completely, they can become lighter over time. This post includes natural treatments that can lighten scars and make them less obvious. Have a look.
Different types of scars
You can sustain scarring in many ways. These are the types of scars you can get:
- Atrophic Scars: Stretch marks, pitted acne scars, and atrophic scars are two examples of this type of scars. They leave an indentation or sunken marks on the skin.
- Keloidal scars: These large, dark, elevated, benign tumors appear behind the ears and back. These scars may also extend beyond the area and grow elsewhere. These scars are not easy to fix/revise surgically.
- Hypertrophic scars: This is the most common type. These are firm, raised growths that don’t go beyond the boundaries of the original injury. They also have modular structures.
Scars come in many shapes and sizes and are something that you will rarely want to display. These natural ways can lighten scars.
